No Strangers Among Us; We Are All Family

The Annual Caribbean Experience
The mission of the Caribbean Student Association here at the Pennsylvania State University is to act as a medium for the active dissemination of cultural, political, and historical information about the Caribbean islands and people. The Association seeks to create awareness among its members and fellow students of the rich, creative and developing history of our islands by researching and documenting past and present events. In doing this, CSA here at Penn State has put on an event that is in its 41th year entitled the Annual Experience.
This year’s theme “The Origins” encompasses learning about our past to see a way into the future while showcasing our different diversities and cultures from around the Caribbean. We will do this through experiencing different food from different islands. We will give each of our guests a tasteful presentation so they can see that even though we are ‘many islands, we are still one body’. This years’ experience will be held on February 28th in Alumni Hall. and appreciate the different countries throughout the West Indies. The Experience includes a showcasing of culture, music, performances and fashion that are of the Caribbean culture. Food from different West Indian countries will also be provided for your tasting experience as well.
